Thursday on the Mountain... November 13

 Quiet Time in Bible Study...

🌤️

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Philippians 4:4-8 ESV

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.””

John 16:33 ESV

“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”

James 1:13-15, 17 ESV

Good Morning Thursday...

Cold, but not freezing...

Max is ready for his morning

Dad cuddles...

He slept at my feet all night

so he gets no more of mine :-)

Bible Study with the Pack...

This morning I am thankful for
Doctors and Nurses
and medical Caregivers...
I know that God gives them
the knowledge to care for us
and gives them the desire...
it can't be easy with a lot of us, I'm sure :-)
My particular doctors are great...
they all really care and do their best
to fix what is wrong,
I also know that not everything can be fixed...
I'm just thankful that they try :-)

Fed the Fur Kids...
Murph is on a good roll....
eating well this week
with not much coaxing :-)

Sparkly Day...

It was time to make

Laundry Detergent...

the last time I made it was in

August so a gallon bucket

lasts us around three months...

Very economical!!!

When it cools I will
blend it up with the emersion blender
so that it is smooth and like jello...

It cools and sets
thick like a gel and then when
we put it in the small bottle
we mix it half and half with water
so it is just a creamy liquid
laundry soap... Nice!

Out to the Barnyard...

These little freeloaders...
always begging and
lately, never paying up :-)

My only eggs are coming from these two...

Elsa...

...and Anna...

Pretty...

And the Morning
Waning Crescent Moon...

I love the different clouds..

Sometimes fat and fluffy
and sometimes wispy...

Paula is tending
to Dandy's early morning needs...

Sunrise on our way to the Gym...
I am walking slow
and doing some light back strengthening
work with the bands...
Doctor called on our way home this morning
and I do have a new fracture
at T10... I will make an appointment
to go back and see Dr. Madigan...
I seem to be falling apart
at an accelerated rate! :-)

These girls!!!
They LOVE the Goat House
and just make a big mess in there...

I had an appointment in Knoxville
today and of course,
we drove by our Ponderosa Buddies...

Camels...

And Bulls :-)

Checked on my Fur Kids
with the Spy Cam
and they were waiting in our room....
as I've said,
they have no life when we aren't home...

Sitting in the doctor's office
I saw this in a food magazine...
I often see a pile of squash at the grocery
and have no idea what each one is!

Nice colors outside of
Bingham Nerve and Muscle...
they shocked my feet and legs and put
needles in the muscles...
quite an experience,
but honestly, not that bad..
the feeling in my feet and legs
is not that good, so perhaps
it could have been worse :-)

Then Lanny gave me my choice
of Mexican, Thai, Japanese...

We picked Mexican...

And WOW!
Good choice!
It was delicious!
You know me,
I usually clean my plate,
but this was SO much food
I actually got a take home box!!

A bit of color on the way home...

AND...
more cow pictures
at the Ponderosa Pastures...
we consider this
as part of our driveway....
I LOVE our home
here on the Mountain...

And Camel pics too...

Fed the Fur Kids...

I got as many of the leaves out
of the koi pond as I could
and put the heater in...
it will only come on
if the water goes below 45...
so that keeps the bottom
of the pond from freezing
and the fish just doze
thru the cold winter :-)

*****

The Barnyard is secure...
all the chores are done
and we are ready to call it a day,
clean up and settle down on the couch
with the Pack
for our Movie and Snacks...

Tonight we are going to
watch
"Galaxy Quest"...
usually we watch it after we do
Star Trek, but we decided to start with it
this time... If you have never seen it
you really need to!
It is a spoof on Star Trek and excellent...
Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver
 and the incomparable Alan Rickman!!!

Good Night, God Bless, Sweet Dreams!
