A Day in the Life / Tuesday, April 6

Quiet Time....

“but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:15

Quiet study with my fella, my fur kids and our Lord!
Best time of the day...

Spent about 90 minutes in study and prayer and then up to start my day...

Did the inside chores except for Dad...he slept in until nearly 9 today... he seems to sleep more and more. I know he is bored (his hands and feet don't work, he can't hear and is getting more frail)...hopefully the spring and summer will provide more things for him to enjoy...outside!!

After I fed the fur kids I went out to care for the feathered children...

Isn't he handsome?

...Three is our lucky number :-)

These fine young men are closing in...nearly all paneled and then the walls will go up...

Look what is going on in the BlueBird House!!

AND, I got my MisFits order today....

Lanny and I went down the hill to pick up another part for the pond pump and pick up buns and wieners for hot dogs tonight...we were going to start Family Night again but Natasha is back in quarantine and it just would not be "Family Night" without both our sons...we will wait until all can come back...

When we got home I fed the gang Ramen for lunch...

Then Lanny went right back to work on the pond...had to do some figuring and strategic planning to get the in wall fixture to work right, but if anyone could do it Lanny could...not finished but getting closer every day!!

Paula and Shelly shoveling Brown Gold (horse manure :-) )...

...and Lanny doing a job he really hates (haha, just kidding...he LOVES mowing!!)

The fruit trees are full of blooms...hopefully all these crazy bees whizzing around will do their job and we will have some fruit!

Paula and Shelly are putting that Brown Gold to good use!!

...and Dad is definitely enjoying this warm weather...finally he can get OUT!!

In addition to the usual three duck eggs we got two chicken eggs today as well...we are averaging 4 to 6 eggs a day...

Made Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Chips and Apple Crisp and Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert...

So lots done today...we are pleasantly tired and ready for Star Trek Final Frontier...
maybe some popcorn :-)

Goodnight Y'all,
God bless, and pleasant dreams!!

A Day in the Life / Monday, April 5

Quiet Time....

“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬

Bible Study Buddy...

Finished all my morning chores, both inside and out...
Lanny did an early morning burn...it was really pretty in semi darkness...

Three eggs...

The boys started early...
I made them some egg burritos since I have SO many eggs!!

Also made some brownies...I use a cookie batter and just press it into a pan...saves a LOT of time...

I took Mom's dogs down to the vet...shots, nail trim and check up...
they are pretty good boys...

The view from Rob and Molly's deck...
things are really greening up!!

Lanny is still working on the pond deck...
it will take a few days (or more) to get it just right...

Max likes the new deck...he can see the fish really well...

He didn't really need a deck...
he is a tight rope walker!

Paula is still working on her DIY planters...

We had to run down to Willow Ridge for some pond pump parts and ran by Dominos Pizza on the way home...I LOVE pizza, especially when it is in place of me cooking dinner... a nice treat once in a while, even tho I love to cook!

Lanny and Dad are still outside talking... I am finishing up this post and getting ready to put on my jammies... not sure if we will get to a movie tonight. It is still so sunny outside and we are usually well into a movie by now (at least in the winter time). Honestly, I am ready for bed by 7:30. I wish I could stay up later but I just can't!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless us, Every One!!

A Day in the Life / Easter Sunday, April 4

Quiet Time....

“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:6

*****
Max joined his Daddy this morning...

Easter Morning...the devotions this morning were beautiful!
Anxious to go to the Lord's House for Resurrection Sunday...

I finished my inside chores and headed out to care for the feathered babies...

I love the morning sounds up here...

Three Eggs!!

...and later in the day I was gifted with three chicken eggs as well...

I headed to church around 8 for Ensemble Practice...then Sunday School at 9:45, church at 11:00...
There was a very nice crowd this morning...

After church we came home and had our Sunday Burgers, Potato Salad and Baked Beans and Potato Chips....Lemon Cake and Jello and Fruit.

Just because she is SO pretty, here is a picture of our Great Granddaughter Sylvia Faye...

I went out with some green leaf lettuce and sat down on the pool steps to to see if I could lure the ducks closer...I have no trouble getting the chickens close...they are little feathered pigs :-)

I think I need to fry some eggs tomorrow...these chicks and ducks are really doing their jobs!

Lanny left for church and Paula and I showed her friend David the road that needs to be graded...he says his tractor won't be able to do the job...we are going to have to find someone who can cut out that road. It has been washed out and is full of deep ruts. We need a good way to get larger vehicles down to the lower parts of the property... it will all work out...

I cleaned up the back yard and put the chickens and ducks to bed.
I fed Mom and Dad some chicken noodle soup and I ate a bowl of cheerios...
I am finishing this post as I watch another episode of Star Trek Next Generation...
When Lanny gets home we will watch the next Star Trek movie, Voyage Home...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless the USA
