A Day in the Life / Thursday October 8

Lanny and I had our annual Medicare Wellness Exam this morning... if you are a senior you know all about that... drawing a clock, remembering three words after an hour of questions and discussion...fun stuff. But we always pass with flying colors!

Home for lunch and a nap (haha) and then Lanny went to finish a small job he is doing for a lady out near Big Ridge, and I did some cleaning in the Community Room. 

We are far from finishing that project, but we use it so we are trying to make it as temporarily functional and practical as we can. We will eventually have a full size kitchen out there, built in shelves for the library, walls and doors...It will be fabulous and the kids already enjoy it. And we do eat out there when the weather is right. Eventually we will be able to heat and cool it, to a point...

This is a HUGE open area in the middle of the barn. This part up to the cut in the slab will be the garage (the big bay doors are behind me). 

We will eventually put up a wall to separate the garage from the Community Room. We already have all the tables that we used on our deck plus a few more amenities...

The shelves will eventually be built in for the library. We have games, crafts, puzzles, music and LOTS of books. We all had books and supplies and now they are all in this room.

We have a couple of keyboards, guitars, clarinets, drums, plus all the equipment Rob and James use when they have band gigs in town... cannot wait for our annual Christmas Carol night!

Comfy chairs (the recliner gives a massage!) and a couple TV's to watch ballgames and movies...including the hundreds of home movies we have of all the kids growing up!

We have several freezers, fridges, pantries... combined appliances and tools...

Mom and Dad are enjoying the cool evening... and we are getting ready to sit down to the next Marvel movie...We love them ALL!!
