A Day in the Life / Wednesday, December 9

Quiet Time...

“Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” - Philippians‬ ‭2:9-11‬ ‭

The sunrise was beautiful, as usual...

The fur kids had a great idea, but I had to go out and tend to the foul....

It was VERY cold this morning...

The fish don't hibernate but they do become very still, almost dormant in winter...

The ducks LOVE icy water...

The chickens don't seem to enjoy it quite as much :-)

The ducks are consistently giving us two eggs per day...the chickens have stopped for winter...my hens are 5 years old so they will probably not lay many more even in warm weather...next spring we will get a few young hens to add chicken eggs to the mix again... but the duck eggs are really very delicious!

Our little hummer buddy is still out and about, even in 20 degree weather. I did have to warm up the feeder a bit so he could get a sip...

Mom and I went down the hill to pick Sadie up from the school bus and then ran by Kroger's to get ingredients for Peanut Clusters...

I started cooking and Papaw took Sadie (or should I say, Sadie took Papaw) out in the MULE...She drove all the way, except when Papaw had to get them out of a little mud puddle...

I made Spaghetti for dinner and some Garlic Crescents...one of our favorite dishes!!

...and the Peanut Clusters are quite good too :-)

Sadie was picked up and Lanny had to go back to church for Midweek service. I am watching another Star Trek episode...I'm going to run out of the original series episodes and I may have to start watching Generations...I didn't watch it when it was airing...

Goodnight Y'all...
