A Day in the Life / Monday, January 11

 Quiet Time....

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6-7

I was just about to start complaining again because there was no snow, when all of a sudden....

...even in the dark you could see it!

I let the chicks and ducks out... the ducks LOVE rain and snow...the chickens, not so much.

I got out my good Canon camera and took some close ups of these beauties in my back yard!

The gardenia is just about to bloom...

Lanny and I went down the hill to pick up a sewing cabinet from my dear friend Wendy...she had snagged this Horn 2178 Cabinet at a thrift store several years ago and has since bought several industrial machines and cabinets that are taking up her space...she gave it to me for her usual price with my friends discount...FREE. I am so thrilled...I will have to start sewing again!

On our way down the hill we got to see our little buddies, of course.

You cannot tell from a photo, but this boy is HUGE! James (the Zoo man) tells me he is a Fleckvieh crossed with Pinzgauer and that he rides under a saddle like a horse! I'd love to see it!! I don't know his name yet...

Lanny sat down in front of the fire to read and Murphy wasn't having any of it...he wedged himself behind right next to the grating...

And when I couldn't find Mitzi I hunted til I found her snuggled up in Mom's bed...she loves it in there!

We ate tomato soup for lunch and then Lanny and I sat down for our nap...

My Dear Friend Vickie called me and we talked for awhile as Lanny dozed...that has happened two days in a row...but I would not trade a good chat with a friend for a dozen naps!

We made another run down the hill to Home Depot for a shelf and to the pet store for a litter box for Max...he decided he wants one inside in the winter :-) ...I don't blame him!!

I made Lasagna for dinner with Crescent Rolls and Peaches for dessert...

Land mines are picked up and ducks and chicks are asleep, we are in our jammies and getting ready to watch Transformers...

Goodnight Y'all!
