A Day in the Life / Sunday, August 22

Quiet Time...

“bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”

Study Buddies...
I love the mornings with my little pack...
this time of year I open the back door so we can hear the crickets, the waterfall in the koi pond, the whistle of a distant train... the early morning birds.
Sometimes we hear a coyote or turkey and often we hear owls calling each other from all directions...
Did I mention that I LOVE early mornings? :-)

Ears...

I got up from my Quiet Time a little early today because it's Sunday and I have a lot to do before I leave for church...

Two duck eggs...

My Chicken Apron...I can carry my phone/camera, a knife for cutting into feed bags, etc. AND a pocket for eggs :-)

I left a little early today because I had to run by Walmart on my way to church.
We needed some pool shock and algicide.

We had a good Ensemble Practice and then a GREAT Sunday school class...
looks like it may be all girls this year :-)

Even with the heavy rain there was a good crowd for Worship...

For Sunday Lunch we had Sloppy Joes...
always a favorite!

And then, of course, Lanny and I (and the fur kids) settle down for a little Siesta...

Went out to check on the chicks and ducks after nap time and got a nice little gift...
4 chicken eggs...

Lanny headed back to church for the evening service.
I fixed Daddy some Chicken Noodle Soup and Mom wanted Cereal.

I put the chicks and ducks to bed... the chickens are not quite as easy to get to bed as  they used to be. I had my four old hens and Willie on quite a schedule. I'd call and shake my little bowl of shredded cheese and there they'd come. Well, these three new girls added a new dimension. The first week or so I had to chase them all around the yard. They are going in a little easier but it is quite different to try to herd seven hens and a squawking rooster to the coop. Willie gets a little annoyed when they don't ALL come at the same time. It's really quite cute!

The ducks are still pretty easy to get in.

I am in my Jammies and finishing this post.
I will watch a few Star Trek episodes until Lanny comes home.
Not sure if we will try to watch a movie...

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless America and
Sweet Dreams!
