A Day in the Life / Saturday, September 25

Quiet Time...

“Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent;

with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭17:28

Prayer and Study Time...

Max decided to lay behind us on the back of the couch today...

Dad had a choking episode at 5:45 and so I jumped into my day a bit abruptly :-)
He has them more and more lately. I think the swallowing reflex gets a little confused as we age. I am already doing that myself, so at 92 I guess it's understandable. I just have to be close to help him breath slowly and not panic.

I made beds, got Mom situated with some coffee and her meds...she is still sleeping in her chair. Pray for her pain to decrease enough to lay down. Her sleep isn't quality sitting in a chair.

Headed out at sunup...

The sky was lovely...

Two duck and later, two chicken eggs...
I am going to try pickling eggs this week.
I have so many!

We headed down the hill around 8...
it was really foggy...

We had our usual Hoskins Breakfast...

Then we went to the CoOp, to Aldi's and to Krogers.

Stopped by the Produce stand...they have some lovely gourds!!

Sky sent this sweet picture of Sylvia in her new outfit...
"Bats How I Like It"

Fed Mom, Dad and Lanny some Ramen, and then we took a snooze.
With the fur kids...

I grilled two dozen burger patties for tomorrow.

We usually only eat a dozen, between the 7 of us, so I have some left over for the next burger meal...

Fed the fur kids...

Made a Master Batch of Artisan Bread for the week...

For supper we had Center Cut Pork Chops with Gravy, Potato Cakes, Green Beans and Carrots and Brownies for Dessert.

Lanny cleaned up the back yard while I put the chicks and ducks to bed.

We are showered and in our jammies and ready to settle in for the last episode of The Chosen, Season 2.
I cannot wait for Season 3!!

Goodnight Y'all...
God Bless the USA!
Sweet Dreams!

  1. Prayers for your mom and dad and also for you and Lanny and Paula as you all continue to care for them. I always considered it a pleasure to care for my parents as they always cared for me. God bless and keep you all♥️
