October 23 / Saturday on the Mountain

Daddy ate his favorite donut for breakfast with a half cup of coffee, half a Grilled Cheese and some Fritos for lunch and then a whole Chili Dog and Chips for supper... I just now made him a small milk shake as a snack...he is still very weak but has spent several hours in his chair. He is still very confused and disoriented but hopefully that will pass soon.

Lanny has been off his oxygen for nearly three hours and his O2 level has remained above 90. He actually went out and did the Puppy Landmine Patrol after supper. We will check his blood sugar before bed and hopefully it is still below 200...

Continue praying for us all, but especially for Dad.

Thank you all for your prayers!

 Quiet Time....

“This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;”

We brought Dad home yesterday morning and got him situated in his room... the hospital bed is a God send!!

Viki (Sadies other sweet Grandma) brought us some delicious Chili, all the toppings and a cake for our dinner! THANK YOU VIKI, and thank you Shannon for delivering it!!

The hills are beginning to show their fall colors...so beautiful!

Dad had a rough night...he got out of the bed around 1 AM on his own (something I would rather he didn't do for a few days) and was sitting in his chair. He called for us and was very confused. He didn't know where he was or what to do. I got him calmed down (he trusts me to tell him what to do, thank you Lord) and put him back in the bed. It is nearly 7 AM now and he is still there... pray for him. He gets agitated because he is confused and disoriented. I am praying that those feelings diminish as he gains his strength. But thankfully he lets me tell him what to do and he is very cooperative.

I put one of my pet cameras in his room and it is saving me a LOT of steps. I can keep an eye on him without going in there to check every minute..
Thank you Lord for technology!!

Lanny and I spent our Quiet Time nearly as usual (we are serenaded by the sound of the hissing oxygen machine :-) but he is doing very well. His blood pressure is good and this morning his blood sugar was under 200!!! Praise the Lord for that. He is also stronger and can walk longer without the oxygen assist before his 02 level gets low.

Keep us all in your prayers please, and thank you for lifting us thus far.
We LOVE you all.

God is GOOD!!!
