Thursday on the Mountain, November 4

Quiet Time...

“The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:7‬

Dad had a "normal" night. A few short shifts spent in the bed, but most of the night he is sitting in his chair. He's a little stronger tho, so I rest a bit easier just watching the monitor unless he needs assistance. He keeps his call button close!

Mom gave him some snacks at midnight (tsk tsk) so I think he ate donuts and cookies and Whoppers all night...that might be why he is so fidgety and restless at night...sugar high :-)

The bath nurse came today and washed him in his chair. Even washed his hair and shaved him and he looks like his old self...said he felt good too.

I made Grilled Cheese for our lunch today. A favorite for us all...

Showing off his clean shave...

Then the physical therapy nurse came and really put him thru the ringer!! But he is definitely getting stronger and the therapy should help to speed that up.
Mom was coaching...

Breathing Exercises..

We had Shrimp and Garlic Buttered Noodles, Green Beans, and Garlic Toast, then a Jello Dessert... we all tend to overeat when I make THAT!!

A few pictures from the day...

Nice sunrise (really first light) ...as usual up here on the mountain...

Chicks and ducks eager to get out of their beds...

My lone duck egg... but I did get one chicken egg later in the afternoon...

...after lunch Lanny and I did get to take a short siesta with ALL the fur kids...even Max joined us (he is in his Daddy's arms)...

Supper is over. Dishes are washed. The back yard puppy land mines have been picked up, the chicks and ducks are in bed, we are in our jammies and are getting ready to watch Rob Roy...

Goodnight Y'all...
Thank you for your prayers...
God bless the USA!
