Thursday on the Farm... February 24

Quiet Time...

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:1-2

*****
Sorry, she was just so cute :-)...
while we were watching Iron Man 3 last night...
look at those little crosses paws...

*****

Dad was up...
Inhaler, meds, socks, thermos and cup and...
Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit :-)

Quite Time...

Of course, Max is in his Daddy's bed :-)
when I am ready to make it...

Fed the fur kids, decanted both the milk and water kefir...
sorted/straighteed the bathroom pantry... it gets out of whack after a while...

Headed out at daybreak... WET daybreak :-)
The chickens aren't crazy about rain but were interested in the scraps...

:-)

Bucky and the girls went back in the coop...

But not the ducks...
they LOVE rain and puddles!

Eggs, Sausage and Toast for Second Breakfast...

Mom only wanted toast...

Then at 9 the physical therapist Brenna came...
checking his vitals first...

Working with the bands...
muscles!!

Walking the "track"...

Then LUNCH!!!
Turkey Sandwiches and Chips...

and then... NAP TIME!

Maggie puts her whole heart into nap time!

Our septic leach field lines get real sluggish when it rains like this...
you'd think the top of a hill would be a great place to avoid water issues
but not when it is a slate hill...
no percolation!
So when it rains for days we often have a very unhappy and FULL septic tank...
Oh well, into each life... :-)
FYI, the rain has eased up so we can "go" again (haha)...

For supper I warmed up the leftover Beans and Rice, added a small Ham and some Macaroni and Tomato...I also made some Cornbread in my waffle iron...
turned out great!!

Robbie joined us late so he isn't in the picture :-)
He LOVES Beans and Rice!!
*****

So, the yard is cleaned up as well as the kitchen.
The chicks and ducks are snug as bugs in rugs...

I am ready to put on my jammies and watch
Captain America: Winter Soldier...

Goodnight Y'all...
I love you one and all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!!
