Dad was up and had restless legs...
had to get that worked out and then get his morning meds and goodies :-)
Then it was Quiet Time...
6 AM...had to move Maxey to make the bed :-)
He is not upset tho, because he knows as soon as I make the bed I head for the kitchen to prepare his breakfast...
Also decanted the Water Kefir/Sparkley...
Soaked Oatmeal for the flock...
I added Oregano, Turmeric and Cayenne because a couple of my girls have a little cough...
those herbs are great antibiotics!
Soaking Pintos for tonights dinner...
I prefer to soak overnight but I forgot :-(
so a 7 hour soak will be fine.
I'll do them in the InstaPot...
Also sprouting some Mung and Protein mix for us and for the feathered kids...
Out at sunup...
The babies were hungry for their crumbles...
they eat the oatmeal later.
Gabby and Penny did their job overnight...
The moon is pretty at daybreak...
the camera doesn't do it justice.
And the frogs are LOUD this morning.
I LOVE frogs!!!
Gabby and Penny... We put a pump to circulate and it is making a nice noise to us but I am wondering if it is making them nervous... I have not seen them in it since we put it in... I will have to keep an eye on that...

Our coop and setup for the flock...
1 Rooster, 2 Ducks, 7 Hens and 6 "almost" Pullet aged ladies...
That's the little ladies up on the roost... they love it up there...
I guess they feel safe from "you know who"... Bucky :-)
Fixed Dad and Lanny some French Toast Sticks and Sausage for Breakfast.
Paula took Mom to her 9th treatment... over half way thru!
Goldie, Popcorn and Sugar...
they seem to be the earlier layers...
Coconut as well... she just couldn't wait for nest number three :-)
When the babies start laying I will have more blues and greens!
Turkey Sandwiches, Chips and Salsa for lunch...
No nap... it's way too pretty outside :-)

The babies ventured out farther than ever today...
this is about 30 feet from the coop :-)
For supper we had Pintos, Fried Taters, Spinach and Cornbread...
Wonder what the rich folks are eating tonight? :-)
They ventured a bit farther around the corner of the fence...

Well, except for going out at dusk to shut the birds in :-)
Lanny mowed the back yard, the kitchen is clean, we are in our jammies
and ready to start The Siege...
