Quiet Time...
“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
Proverbs 27:17
*****
For your viewing pleasure :-)
Our precious GrandDaughter in Law Sky,
and
Great Grand Sylvia Faye!
These two belong to Isaac :-)
*****
Dad saw the lights :-)
I made him a couple Sausage Biscuits
and took him all his morning goodies...
Then I headed for the couch...
for nearly two whole hours of Quiet, Study, Devotional and Pack Time :-)
Mitzi took my place on the couch when I went in to make the bed...
since I had to run her off to do it :-)
Made the beds, took Mom her morning stuff (meds, coffee, fiber bar, kefir),
fed the fur kids, did a few chores and then...
Headed out to face the fowl and the chilly start to the day!!!
Babies are visibly growing every day!!
Have I told you lately that
I LOVE my chickens!!!!?
Gabby and Penny did their thing...
Fed them ALL second breakfast :-)
Even Mom!!
Eggs, Sausage and Toast!
After breakfast Lanny and I went down to the CoOp for some misc critter stuff and saw my Bull Buddies on the way home... and the Camels!
Popcorn, Sugar and Goldie's contribution...
Lanny hauling in the goodies we bought at the CoOp...
For lunch I warmed up left over hotdogs and pizza...
Waste not, want not!
No nap on a day like this...
WAY too pretty to stay inside!
Planted some mint next to the duck pond.
Mint loves water and will trail into the pond,
offering oxygen and hiding places for water creatures...
Helps balance the ecosystem... eventually :-)
And more mint on the other side.
My ducks and chickens don't care that much for mint.
Not many things you can plant with fowl around...
One day and you can see the buds opening...
FAST in this sunshine!!
I cleaned the pond filter...
YUCK!
The bio balls in the filter were just solid gunk!
No wonder the pond was cloudy and the water pressure low!!
It should clear up now and the fish love when the water falls forcefully...
They love to play under the force in the bubbles!
"Chick-a-Boom, don't cha LOVE it!!"
Dirty fingernails!!!
Oh my, but I DO love this time of year.
My yard and garden dreams ALWAYS far exceed the reality,
but I DO enjoy dreaming!!!
Sorry, but I have to brag...
I apologize for rubbing in the fact that we have
an absolutely gorgeous GrandDaughter...
The only problem is, she is only 11...
what are we gonna do with her in a couple of years?!?
Is my dog broken? :-)
Oh no, it's contagious!
The Herb Garden with some Brussels Sprouts, Lettuce,
Kale and Spinach in between!
Coming along fine, even after snow and freezing temps!
Huddle Babies....
these six little ladies are always together...
they are getting their little cheeks and tiny pea comb...
they are Easter Eggers!
Only 5 eggs today...
Several of the Ladies took the day OFF!!!
Spring is Busting Out All Over!
Hosta...
Monarda, Bee Balm...
Obedient Plant...
Mexican for Dinner...
Burritos, Chips, Salsa, all the Fixing's!
The Puppy Landmines are picked up, the chicken feed is all stashed away.
Lanny is out mowing or something :-) and I am folding the last load of clothes.
Took care of some other little chores that suffered my absence
on this gorgeous "go outside" day :-)
The only problem with Spring/Summer is my neglect of things inside.
But even neglected you gotta do 'em eventually :-)
I am in my Jammies and I think I hear my man coming in the door. He will shower and get ready for Movie Time... Another Will Smith... Probably Wild, Wild West!!
Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
