Sunny Saturday on the Farm!...April 23

Quiet Time...

“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”"
‭‭John‬ ‭1:29‬

*****
Dad got up around 4:30...

I got everything ready...
and only had to jump up, take it in to him
and make his Biscuit Roll up...

Then right back to Pack Time Bible Study...

Maxey loves his Daddy...

Head Bump Love...

Then at 6 I get the "eye" to remind me it's time for breakfast!

Daybreak at 7ish...

Still a morning moon...

The pond...
Not finished... I have a cool feature in mind for the watering can...
I'll show you soon...

This is mint... it will trail over the side and root in the water...
the ducks won't eat it but it will clean and oxygenate the water...
if we put fish in this pond it is great cover for fry...

Cranberry Viburnum really coming up nicely!

Two duck eggs... not broken today!!

My Maggie Mae... love her heart!

Pancakes and Sausage for Second Breakfast...
Lanny had already been out excavating!

Out the kitchen window!

Water Kefir...Sparkley!

The Lard... I rendered it this week...
just wanted to show you how gorgeous it is...
white as snow!!

Tadpoles... the entire pond is like this...
if even 1% turn into frogs we will be overrun!!!
LOVE IT!!

The rain barrel....
that's lavender in the pot on the ground and petunias in the pot on top...

Murphy enjoying the porch...

I made turkey sandwiches for lunch
and then we rested for about 30 minutes...
Murphy and Maggie keeping me warm...

And Mitzi in the floor with her bone...

These babies are getting big and looking like little eagles!!
Long legged and lanky! And their little muffs are starting to really show...

Popcorn, Sugar and Coconut...

Dandy and Takoda in the Pasture...
Takoda is a Quarter Horse and Dandy is a Missouri Fox Trotter...

Lanny is working on the access road below the pasture...
so I snuck down to take his picture...

Dandy...

VERY hot work!!

Clean pine shavings in the coop...

For dinner we had Chicken Nuggets, Normandy Veggies,
Baked Sweet Potatoes and Rolls...
Pudding for Dessert...

Mom ate in her suite again. She says her back feels a little bit better
but she is still mostly in bed...
Continue to pray for her.
Some of her cancer appointments will be coming up
and if her back isn't better there will be no way she can go for a doctor visit...

Lanny went back out to excavate a little before movie time...
I put the chicken feed under lock and key :-)

I'll go back out at dusk to close the coop door. They have been really good about going in. Sugar and Goldie are my incorrigible ones... they would stay out all night I think :-) but once I go out there and shew them in they get on the roost
without much back talk :-)
The ducks just go right in without my really asking!

Tonight we will watch "Cowboys"... John Wayne. We still have a few movies of his left in our series, and then we will start something else... yes, we watch the same movies over and over and over... at our age we forget details from year to year so don't mind reruns at all. We have 500 plus movies in our little library so it usually takes a year and a half to go thru them all, but some of them we love so much we watch a couple times a year... we are in the 20's, 30's and more times we've watched some of them... we don't watch TV at all so that's just our thing :-)

Thank you for your prayers for Mom and for the family...
We love you all!!!

Goodnight Sweet Family and Friends...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!!
