Quiet Time...
"It was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then He could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people”
Hebrews 2:17
*****
We lost one of our baby hens last night... I just found her lying in the coop floor when I went out to close the door... I thought perhaps one of the older hens had knocked her off the perch or mistreated her but upon inspection there was no sign of trauma at all. I realized, in hindsight, that she had been on the coop floor often during the day and not very energetic...
Well today, another one of the babies was acting lethargic so we brought her in and kept her in a little cage. She acted like she was going to eat and was drinking water... no cough, no outward signs of any problems other than lethargy. A chicken friend told me to give her sugar water which she did drink. But in an hour or so she was gone too... I will keep a close eye on the remaining 4. It is really heartbreaking.
They seem fine now but so did these two...
Pancakes and Sausage for Second Breakfast...
Coconut, a Pearl White, Goldie and Willow...
Still three Blue Bird eggs in the Box...
Sandwiches for lunch...
Mom is still eating in her room and sleeping in her chair.
She is really in a lot of pain.
Keep her in your prayers...
We suspect Bull Frog eggs!!! I'm so excited!!!
Another Pearl White...
Makes 7 eggs today...
I just warmed up some left over chili from the freezer for supper.
Lanny took me for a ride in the MULE after dinner.
We are both a little bummed today. It's hard to lose little critters
when you just have no idea how to help...
Anyway, the woods are beautiful and peaceful and healing...
Chisum...
Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams...
