Thursday on the Farm... April 21

Quiet Time...

“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”
‭‭John‬ ‭13:14

*****
Dad was up :-)

Mitzi keeping her Daddy's spot warm til he makes it to the couch...

Ninety minutes of Quiet Bible Study...
with my pups and my Honey!

This is the haul from yesterday's fat rendering...
I let it warm on low all night, and this morning it was ready to pour up.
It was solid in an hour or so and I put it in the freezer...

Out at daybreak...

One duck egg in the house but it was broken...
not sure how that happens but I think they get excited when I am opening the door and sometimes jostle it too much... later in the morning the other one laid out in the drive under the play steps :-)

Pups lounging around...
we couldn't even put up the recliner...

Willow, Popcorn and Sugar...

I took out a carcass from our rotisserie chicken the other day and these girls go nuts...
Sorry if it freaks you out, but chickens LOVE chicken!!!

They were fighting over it!

French Toast and Sausage for second breakfast...

Still lounging...

Lanny is having to mow at least twice a week already...
It might be from all that grass seed I put out last fall and thru the winter :-)

I made turkey sandwiches for lunch and then after Mom and Dad were settled in Lanny and I headed down to Willow Ridge to get a few plants...

Passed the Shetlands...

And Oreo my Bull Buddy...

Willow Ridge...
It is a little expensive but we do find some interesting plants...

I wish I had this pond!!!
And these fish! They are pigs with fins!!

We also went by Home Depot and got a few less expensive plants :-)
So far it's looking quite nice!

We will get a tropical tall palm of some kind for the big orange pot...

Lavender...
I love lavender!!

Astilbe!

Dad is enjoying the sunshine!!

Made Popcorn Shrimp, Green Beans, Carrots, New Potatoes and Salad for Supper...
Mom is still eating in her room so with going back and forth I didn't take a picture...
You can visualize it, I am sure :-)

Lanny picked up the landmines, I cleaned up the kitchen
and put the chicken feed bowls away...

I am going to go clean up and get ready for the evening...
not sure where Lanny is but he will be in shortly to clean up as well...
We have a couple of John Wayne movies left...
Maybe Cowboys will be tonight :-)

Mom said she thinks her back feels a bit better.
Keep praying. She has a couple of appointments coming up
that would require her to lay on a table and at this point that would be impossible...
we don't want to have to move the appointments out too far...

God bless you all...
Goodnight and Sweet Dreams!
