Wednesday in the Wood... April 20

Quiet Time...

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-3‬

*****

Forgive my abrupt end to yesterdays post... I realized when I fell into the bed that I had not published so this morning I just hit the button...
It's getting a bit hectic around here of late :-)

*****
Dad was up :-)

Settled down around 4 for Pack Time...

Ran Max out of the bed at 6 so I could make it up...

Daybreak around 7...

Morning Moon...

Eggs, Sausage and Toast for the men folk...

Rendering Lard!

I bought about 17 pounds of Pork fat... I LOVE rendering lard!
Because I LOVE home rendered lard!!!
I know the farmer and I know his pork is good!!

I do it in the Instant Pot on slow cook...
very slow, so I may let it cook overnight and put it in jars in the morning...

Robbie mowed the parking lot side yard...

Dogs doing what dogs do!

Popcorn, Sugar and Goldie!

God bless America!

Lanny ran down the hill to pick up Sadie at the Bus Stop...
she gets out at 1 on Wednesdays!

Dandy and Takoda!
Enjoying the sunshine and grass!

Paula trying out her new Walk Behind Trimmer Bush Hog!

Still only three blue bird eggs...
I am worried that something has happened to the parents
but I will keep watch another week or so...

American Wisteria... it is so pretty in bloom.
These buds should start opening any day...

This is just the second year...
can't wait to see how much it grows this year!

Also, American Honeysuckle...

Paula's Clematis!

Lanny picked out the fish when we were shopping on our Anniversary...
looks pretty above the pond!

Dad was out supervising the electrical work
(just kidding - but he was definitely enjoying the warm temperature and sunshine!)...

Hero Services putting Paula's new wiring for more power... everyone is really excited around here that we won't be blowing fuses anymore!!

Sadie doing homework!

Coconut and I think Granny Raven!

Made Burritos for Dinner...
I ate TWO!
OUCH!!

Robbie came over after the picture and ate FOUR!!!
He LOVES Mexican, and Chinese and Italian...
well he LOVES FOOD!!!

Lanny went down the hill to church... Wednesday night services...
I picked up the chicken feed and got them ready for bed...
they will go in on their own at dusk and I can close the door...

Sadie is still here, but when she leaves I'll put on my Jammies
and watch a Star Trek or two...
Lanny won't get home til around 8:30 so no movie tonight!
We watched Hellfighters last night...John Wayne and Vera Miles...

Mom is about the same but thankfully, not worse.
She can get in and out of bed herself, usually, but can't sit long.
She is still in a lot of pain when she moves around at all.
But she is pretty comfortable when she lays down.

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless America, God bless you, and Sweet Dreams!!
