Monday on the Mountain... July 4

Quiet Time...

"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty;
only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh,
but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13 KJV
*****
Dad was up...

Lanny joined me around 4:30...

Jumped up at 5:45...
I changed the sheets and threw the dirty ones in the washer...
fed the fur kids and headed out...

I sat out the chicken feed and came back in to start some bread...
wanna do some canning today so I need to get this out of the way...

I LOVE bread dough... as I've said, I mix it in the Bosch
but do a lot of the kneading by hand...
I love the feel of it...

Made the men some Eggs, Sausage and Toast...

Ready for first rise...

Can you guess my LEAST favorite part of washing sheets?
Yes, folding King Sized Fitted Sheets...
I can do it but I DO NOT like it!!!

Waiting for me to come BACK out with treats...

This is my giant Instant Pot... wanted you to see how big it is.
But I can do a BIG chicken in here...

Penny's egg...
so far no Gabby...
at the end of the day she still had not laid one...
at least, not in the coop.
It could very well be out in the yard somewhere...

Ready to go into the oven...

Here is my cooked chicken, ready to be canned...

The dogs LOVE when I cook chicken...
they know I will gift them with little nibbles all along :-)

Lanny was cleaning the bones...
I took the nice bigger pieces for canning
and left the nibbles for Lanny and the dogs...

For lunch I used the pieces of chicken Lanny got off those bones and made some Chicken Salad Sandwiches for lunch... YUM!!

7 pints of chicken...

A Pearl White...

And Amber's tiny one :-)

For Supper we had Barbequed Chicken Legs, Kielbasa,
Potato Salad and Baked Beans...
Rob joined us. Paula and Shelly are going to grill a hot dog
and stay with the horses.
The horses HATE fireworks and they have to stay outside!
At least we can distract the dogs with loud TV or radio,
but the horses see and hear everything!!!
I have come to the point that I really dislike (to put it mildly) fireworks
and dread the holidays when everyone uses them!!

Well, the kitchen is clean, the pup piles are gone,
the chicken feed is safe and I am in my jammies...

Not sure what will be on the venue tonight
but we will hopefully watch another Picard episode after it...
I will let you know!!

God bless America!!!
Hope you had a wonderful day with your family...

And God bless YOU!!
Goodnight and Sleep Tight!
