Monday on the Mountain... October 31

Quiet Time...
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
*****
Daddy slept in til 6:30!
I had his stuff ready and settled down for Quiet Time...

Mags and Murph side by side...

Close...
I think Maggie is over her grump about touching him :-)

After Quiet Time I had to move Max, of course,
in order to make the bed...

This is our November Calendar Picture ;-)

I fed the fur kids and made Dad a Breakfast Burrito for his late first breakfast...
Piddled around in the kitchen and started some laundry...
then headed out to my flock!

Foggy, misting rain,
but not cold!

Made the men a Bacon and Egg Omelet and Toast
for 8 O'Clock Breakfast...

Mom had her Boost and a piece of Toast with Jelly...

It was raining, so even tho I have been in and out with the chickens
and other fun stuff I didn't take pictures...
Give you a picture break today :-)

I baked some Corn Dogs for lunch...
I forget how much Mom and Dad especially love them...
I need to do that more often...

Murphy is always hoping Mom will drop something!!

ALL the dogs hope that!!

Even Max perked up when I took it in there!

Had Chili for Supper!!!
YUM!
Some of us added just Fritos, another added Cheese,
maybe a little Sour Cream,
ate a Cracker or Garlic Bread... or both!!
It was "Have it Your Way" Chili!!

Pup Landmines are picked up...
chicken feed is safely away...
the flock is getting along splendidly.
Even Bucky and Big Roo are totally at ease with each other.
Big Roo did decide to attack Lanny today but didn't get away with it.
He is just testing the water.
He WILL NOT win!!! :-)

Last night we watched Top Gun.
Tonight we will watch the new one: Top Gun Maverick...
I think I last saw the first Top Gun when it came out and never again,
so it really was new :-)

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless you, One and ALL!!!
Sweet Dreams!

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."
At this I awoke and looked around.
My sleep had been pleasant to me.

Jeremiah 31:25-26

Sunday on the Farm and a Birthday!... October 30

Quiet Time...

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Daddy was up...
Biscuit Roll Ups today...

Hmmmm...
Mags and Murphy together again...

Out to the FLOCK!!!
It's real folks!!

Fourteen hens, two roosters and two ducks...
I am in farm heaven!!!

Daddy slept thru breakfast and Lanny had already gone to church...
I gave Dad a Cake Donut when he woke up at 10
and got back to cooking for todays lunch.

Made a huge Mimi Lada Casserole...
Here is the recipe from my blog in case you didn't get it before...

It is a fantastic recipe for a big crowd...
you can make it as small or as big as you want/need...

Just add a few toppings...
some chips and dip...
a salad...
and VOILA!

By the time we were calling it quits
only about 1/4 of this huge pan was left!!
We ALL love MimiLada's!!
This was just the first shift :-)

And Daddy loves Banana Pudding...
Had to make him one
and I don't know what came over me...
I just HAD to make a wafer happy face :-)

He opened his cards...

And then he went in a took a nap :-)

Lanny went out right after lunch to finish up with the Kubota...
they will come to get it in the morning.
He has someone to cover for him at church tonight...

*****

I'll fix Dad and Lanny some Chicken Noodle Soup...
Mom wants Peanut Butter and Crackers...
I am still full from lunch!!!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless you one and all...
Sweetest Dreams!!

“You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Saturday in the Mountains... October 29

Quiet Time...

““Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If you had known me, you would have known My Father also.
From now on you do know him and have seen him.””
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Daddy was up...
Two Sausage Biscuits to go with his coffee...

Change it up! Maggie and Murphy were both on the left this morning...
almost touching!!

Then they WERE touching!!
But Maggie tolerated the intrusion...

Max in the bed...
had to move him out to make it!

Chicken and Duck time!!!

New Chicken Eggs, Sausage and Toast for Breakfast!!

Toast and Jelly for Mom...

Murphy sure wanted some of it!

So did Maggie and Casey!

Two eggs...
tan and white...
Don't know who they belong to...

Deli Chicken Sandwiches on my homemade bread for lunch...
Yum!!

Took the YukChuk compost scraps out to the garden
and the chickens followed me...
even Big Roo and some of the new girls!!!
They love to spread out and search thru the scraps...
this was taken with the garden cam...
Lanny is going to mount it on the other side
so we can see more of the garden and side yard...

For supper we had some Marinated Steak Strips, Baked Potato and Salad
with some fresh Microgreens!!!...
YUM!!

Mom ate in her room...
she is still not up to coming to the table every evening...

Lanny headed back out to the dirt mover...
it is supposed to rain tomorrow
and he wanted to be sure to have the important stuff done...

Last night we started Green Mile...
It's long and we watched about half, so we will watch the other half tonight...

Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless America...
and God bless you...

Sleep Tight!

“The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, He saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”

Psalm 116:5-7
