Sunday on the Farm... October 2

Quiet Time...
“Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them
will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

*****
Nathaniel sent this to me VERY early this morning...
he and Katie were at the airport in DC waiting for their connecting flight to the Virgin Islands for their next adventure! They will be working there for a year...
So excited for them...

*****
Daddy was up and waiting...

I started in Matthew this morning...
I LOVE it!!
We had a nice Quiet Time of Bible Study...

Daddy did have a breathing episode but it was short lived...
The pups love their cuddle time in the morning...

Mitzi is usually comfy on her futon...

But I had to move Max to make the bed...
of course...

And these fur kids can definitely tell time...
I was lolly gagging and it was a little after 6
before I opened the food bowl drawer...

... and they were just a little annoyed...

...even Max was a bit anxious...

Then I got busy doing some insurance stuff
and was late getting out to the birds...
they were none too happy about that either!

I made some rolls with the Artisan Master Dough
for todays Sunday Dinner...
There is a little left in the container so I will add the new flour and water and this little bit of fermented dough will speed up the "sourdough" effect of the new dough...
a cheat sourdough :-)

Paula baked a Cake and I made the Jello Dessert...

Sadie came home from church with Papaw...

James, Tasha and Olivia came with our little Sylvia Faye!!!

She hollered "Mimi" and came running when she saw me...
so sweet to this old heart!!

I made a Chicken and Rice Casserole, Green Beans and Sliced Potatoes,
Corn, the Rolls and a Salad...
Funny how the simplest things are favorites...
both my boys LOVE this meal!!!

Circling up for prayer...

Sylvia LOVES her aunt Sadie...

We spread out around the house... the dining room...

... the living room table...

Sylvia likes my rice too!
And can eat very well for a little critter...

...and the table in Mom's "parler"...

We chit chatted for a bit
and then they opened a few Anniversary cards we had for them...

More hugs for "Aunt Sadie"...

She is such a sweet heart...
we don't get to see her often but she sure makes up for it when we do!

Rob and Molly celebrate two years on the 17th...

James and Tasha celebrate 5 years on the 14th...

... I wanted a picture of me and Lanny
and the instant I sat down the dogs attacked!
They just won't let us do anything without them!

And then the house was quiet and you know what that means...
after lunch nap!

Goldie egg...

Sugar egg...

Fed Daddy his Sunday Night Chicken Noodle Soup...
Lanny is on his way to church for evening service...
Mom ate some Peanut Butter and Crackers for her evening meal...

I am watching Star Trek and watching Mom and Dad on the monitor...
I think I will do some study on the Microgreens and Gardening under lights that I am planning to start... we have ordered the lights and Lanny has the materials to build a "room" out in the big barn.

I am in my Jammies and finishing this post.
Lanny will be home around 7:30.
No movie tonight...

Mom was feeling a little better today...
enough that she came out to eat with us...
Thank you for your prayers.
She will go back to the pulmonary doctor for a CT Scan and checkup in about two weeks. We will know at that time if the cancer is still progressing or has slowed after the radiation treatments. At the last checkup the tumors had shrunk so we are hoping that is still the case. She has been having some pain and I am hoping that was from her fall and not from the cancer.

Goodnight...
God bless and Sweet Dreams...
