Sunday on Walden's Mountain... January 22

Quiet Time...

"Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

Matthew 16:24 KJV

*****

Mom slept all night...
she finally buzzed around 4:15...
Dad was up at 3:45...
I made him a Breakfast Burrito and headed for the couch...

Had the three M's again...

And then all the gang (except Max) by 4:30...

Ready to come out of Black Out and into the light...

...and this tray goes into Black Out...

Flock and Fluffle Time...

Gabby is just about good as new!!

And Big Roo has been a good boy
and has not challenged me to any more duals...

Made the men a Bacon, Egg, Bell Pepper,
Onion and Cheese Omelet and Toast...

Put four trays of pre-frozen Rotisserie Chicken into the Freeze Dryer...
The chicken we prepared yesterday...

Oh, the Jello and Pudding came out great...
the ice cream sandwiches not so much.
This brand must have been a little more sugar or some other ingredient...
more testing is needed :-)

Took some kitchen scraps out to the the chickies...
had some leftover macaroni and tomatoes...
they love it!!

Home canned Beef Stroganoff over Wide Egg Noodles...

Cornbread!

Microgreen Salad!

And Robbie dressed for Sunday Lunch...

Two eggs so far...
but Opal was in a different nest box so I didn't interrupt her :-)

Started another Salad Mix in soil...
Next one will be in the reusable media...
I am not going to give up just yet!

Opal Egg!
She has laid 4 this week...

Here is my Opal... this is her blind side.
At first glance you would not know but she cannot see on this side.
We have observed her for a long time..
but she and Bucky are inseparable...
maybe because they are both outcast...

The reason we named her Opal
is because the colors in her tail and around her neck are Opal...
hard to tell in this light but she is beautiful in the sun...

And Roo is still behaving like a gentleman...

I gave them the roots and stems from the microgreens in the mesh media...
they liked it...

I fed Dad and Lanny some Chicken Noodle Soup...

Lanny has stepped down from working sound at the church for now.
He is going to spend more time here....
Evenings are often the hardest with Mom and Dad
and he can be a lot of help...
To everything there is a season...

The chores are done...
it's time to settle down for the evening....

Tonight is Seabiscuit... another favorite.
It is based on a true story :-)

Goodnight Family and Friends,
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
