Wednesday on Walden's Mountain... January 25

Quiet Time...

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
Psalm 19:14 KJV
*****
Funny... Mom buzzed me just as I was getting out of the bed at 3:45 :-)
Dad was getting up and I made him a Breakfast Burrito
to go with his coffee...
...then I headed for the couch...

The Gang's all here...
it was raining pretty hard so Mitzi was sticking close.
She shakes terribly when it's raining, and worse if it is a loud HARD rain...

Two days out in the light and they are so tall!!!
They are happy and will get greener in a day or two.
The light perks up the chlorophyl production :-)

Another day in black out and this one will be ready for the light...

Day two under weights and the sprouts are starting to show...

Put candy in the Freeze Dryer.
A lot of you have expressed interest so I need to get busy stocking up :-)
the blog is up and running... it is a work in progress...
You can check it out:

Meds Day...

Out to the Flock and Fluffle..
the rain let up a little...

That is Opal and Bucky strolling up the lane...

Made Dad and Lanny a Sausage and Egg Omelet
and a Cinnamon Roll (home made, of course...)

Planted another tray...
several have expressed interest in the Microgreens as well
so I may have to start revving up production!

Yuk Chuk out to the garden...

Left overs from this weeks dinners for their lunch...
Lanny says it's always even better the second time around...

Just to show the size of these bags...
my hands are not small so the bags are a good size...
you cannot go by weight because freeze dried food is nearly weightless!!

Took the roots and stems out for them after I harvested this tray of Microgreens.
They really like that and I know it is very good for them!!

These girls were enjoying rolling in the flakes... they do it like a dust bath, and actually as it composts there is a warm dust/dirt layer underneath... they love rolling in it!

Four so far today...
and one is Opals...
she is my sweet girl...

Trays ready for the freeze dryer:
Southwestern Veggies, Broccoli Cuts and Mixed Veggies...
We LOVE the broccoli and mixed veggies...
I am pretty sure we will love the Southwestern veggies as well...
first time I am drying them...

They are SO pretty and the great thing about freeze drying is that they look exactly the same when they come out! And when they are cooked!!

Bucky and Opal...
"That's Amore"!
They saw me thru the kitchen and were waiting by the gate...
Warmed up some left over Salmon Cakes,
Baked some Potatoes and made a Salad (of course!)

Chores are done...
kitchen is clean and it's time to shut it down for the day...

We watched the first Sherlock Holmes last night...
number 2 tonight!!!
I sure wish they would make 3!

Remember to check out the new blog site and all the sweet treats we are making...
(I wanted to do a new webpage
but blogging is SO much easier than changing a website :-)
especially for an old lady!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless us, Every One!
Sweet Dreams
