Quiet Time...
"...took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.”
John 12:13 NASB

You have NEVER seen dark
like the dark up on this hill when the power is out!
Even the dogs were scared :-)
I put an eLight out in the living room
so that the whole house would have a "point of light"...
Mitzi finally relaxed.
Dad went to bed around 9:30...
He has an eBulb in his lamp that works when the power is out so when he did get up (with his big flashlight)
he could turn on his lamp and it was almost like normal :-)
I laid in the bed until 4:45 because there was
absolutely nothing I could accomplish in the dark.
I did, however, break out my butane burner and made two big pots of percolated coffee and put them in the thermos dispensers so all of us (Rob and Paula included)
could have some hot coffee... they were thrilled!
*****
The wall clock was not working of course,
so here is the Flock and Fluffle Time...
These eBulbs work great and last a good long time.
Mom's stayed lit all night in her lamp.
They get dim as the hours go by but last mostly all night...
I also made eggs and toast in a skillet on the burner.
Lanny was impressed.
This was the HUGE white egg I got yesterday...
turns out it was a double yolk,
that's why it was SO big!!
The bigger yolks are the duck eggs...
The power finally came back on around 10am...
So I put Lanny to quick work
installing the top two grow lights I got yesterday...
Ready to harvest...
And out to the birds...
Look at the Walking Stick Kale...
only two days and they are peeking out!
Isaac, Sky and Sweet Sylvia came by to see MeMaw...
and me and Papaw :-)
AND, the horsies!
Well, duh, I forgot to take a picture of the yummy
Taco Soup I made for Supper...
It was DELISH!
Last night we watched "Twister"
on the computer in the pitch dark bedroom :-)
Great movie to watch when the wind
is throwing trees all over the hillside.
A really big tree took out the lines early yesterday afternoon.
Paula and Robbie and Shelly had to cut another
small one that fell across the driveway after supper last night...
Oh, since there was no power Lanny went down
and got us some Chinese food....
he had to drive under the big tree that was across the road
with our power and internet lines all wrapped up in it!
This was the smaller one that fell later in the day...
Mom has been very unresponsive today.Isaac and Sky came over and brought Sylvia.
Mom did mouth "baby" so she was aware of Sylvia.
She continues to talk about her mother...
Goodnight Family and Friends...
Continue to lift us up in your prayers.
We are thankful that she is not in pain...
God bless
and
