Thursday on Walden's Mountain...April 13

Quiet Time...

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye,
except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing."
John 15:4-5 KJV
*****
Sometimes I hate to make this little cutie move...
but he WAS in my spot :-)
This was last night...
we watched "Out of Africa"...

Up and At 'Em!

Murphy under the cover on my right,

Casey in his new favorite spot... the bean bag...

Maggie under the blankey on my left...

And Mitzi by her Daddy...

Max didn't join us this morning...

What a PILE!!!

I have ordered some more 4 inch pots...

these are about ready for their graduation transplant..

Tomatoes looking good...

Walking Stick Kale...

The Gboma Eggplant and Goji Berries...

Out to the Barnyard...

I like it when I can see them and don't have to dig...

But NOT when one is right in the middle of the floor...

sometimes in the chaos trying to get out they can break it...

At the water trough...

Casey is getting comfortable in here.

He can't jump up on the couch

but lays really close on the floor...

And Mitzi spends most of her nap time

on the Futon at the foot of our bed...

Lanny is working on his MULE brakes...

He nearly has that job finished...

I gave Dandy some carrots

and he was very happy about it...

Luke the Barn Cat...

do you think he might be taking his job a bit too seriously?!!!

Paula doesn't give him a lot of cat food

but he is obviously eating a LOT!!

We are hoping it's mostly mice and rats

and not just baby bunnies!

Made Daddy some French Toast and Pancakes for Breakfast.

We still do not have water

except when Lanny turns it on for a few minutes...

the Plumbers are supposed to be out here today...

Lanny and I missed our Tuesday fast so we are doing it today.

I made Dad a Deli Chicken Sandwich and Chips for his lunch...
*****
The brakes work GREAT!!

Paula is going to use one of the bedside tables

that were in Mom's room...

Ash Bath Time :-)

And one of the ducks is determined to lay under this ledge...

Now these three think it's pretty inviting under that ledge...

I don't think they will feel this way when the goats are here :-)

Two of the turtles are out and about...

one to go...

Now working on a spring...

I threw some freshly pulled weeds over the fence for them...

they love to pick at the roots...

Turtle bath time...

Harvested some greens...

And of course the chickies get the trays...

Well the plumbers are here...
but we have a different strategy now.
They cannot get back until Saturday morning
so we won't have water before that....
It'll make it hard to get ready for Mom's Service...
and if anyone comes home with us they will have to rough it as well :-)
The chickens were SO interested in the newly dug dirt
that I had to distract them with some treats...

For supper I made Chicken Nuggets,
Baked Potatoes and Salad...
but I forgot to use paper plates.
Lanny turned on the water long enough for me to do dishes...

Chores are done...

Tonight we are going to watch "Troy"

Goodnight Family and Friends...

Love to you ALL...

Sweet Dreams...
