Wednesday on Walden's Mountain... November 22

Quiet Time...

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV
*****
Good Wednesday Morning...

Dad was up and waiting...

Settling down with my Pack for Bible Study
and Quiet Time...

Wasn't totally quiet :-)

...around 4:45 Paula came rushing in needing help with one of the horses...
Takoda had laid down in the stall rolling around and got stuck in a corner...
she couldn't push him out of the corner or help him to get up so we ran out to help...
I think the big old brat heard us coming because he got up on his own and was greeting us from the stall door when we got out there...

I gave them carrots but probably
should NOT have rewarded that behavior :-)

Came back in and resumed our couch time...

Then into the Greens Room...

Waiting for Breakfast...

Out to the Barnyard...

Paula and I headed down the hill around 8:30 for her initial Oncologist Visit.
I thought it was very encouraging:
she will need 7 weeks of radiation and chemo...
the radiation will be 5 days a week and the chemo will be one day a week...
it is low dose so she won't lose her hair or get sick...
maybe a slight chance of nausea...we were happy about that...
we like the doctor and I LOVE Thompson Survival...
they took care of me when I went thru my treatment
and it was a very positive experience...

continue to pray for her...
she will start her treatments on December 19th...

We ate at Firehouse...
split a Steak and Cheese...

Dad had slept most of the morning so he and Lanny ate lunch around 12:30...
Lanny made a soup out of leftovers and sandwiches...

The nurse from Amedysis Hospice came out at 1:00
to evaluate Daddy for admission...
They will come out every two weeks to check his vitals
and help with some of the things that I am not able to do...

They are such a valuable service...
The nurse that came out was one that helped us with Mom...

It is comforting to me to have them available
in case we need help any hour of the day or night!!!

For Supper
I made Breakfast!!!
We ALL love Eggs, Bacon,
Biscuits and Gravy for Supper :-)

Chores are done...
I am in my Jammies
and waiting for Lanny to come in...
tonight we will start
"The Matrix"
I just love Keanu Reeves...
I think it's because our Kyrtis looks so much like him :-)
when he was young, of course...

Anyway,
Goodnight All!!!
God Bless
and
Sweet Dreams!!
