The dogs know when it's 6 o'clock...I think they can count the chimes on the clock...I usually feed them around 6-6:15... and they stare at me until I do :-)
Maggie is looking at the drawer with the dog plates...
I like first light even better than sunrise sometimes...it's just pretty...
It wasn't too bad when I let the chickies and ducks out... they were mad because I got side tracked and didn't make it out as early as usual :-)
Bread making day...mixed and in the warm oven for the first rise...
My pinto beans soaked all night and were ready for the pot...
After 45 minutes or so the bread had risen enough to shape...
... and go into the warm oven for the second rise...
The ducks and chickens love egg shells...it gives them extra calcium to lay more eggs! God has great ideas, doesn't He...
...and I saw my little Buddy Tuck as we passed...he always looks when we slow down...
No Family Night... several family members just don't want to risk the crowd and we don't want to put anyone at risk .... especially Mom and Dad (they are 90 and 91 and Dad has COPD).

I made Pintos, Fried Potatoes, Collard Greens, Cornbread, Boiled Duck Eggs, and it was FABULOUS!!!
Danny joined us so it was kinda Family Night :-)
This was my plate...didn't have my cornbread yet, but you get the picture...
Fried Potatoes are my downfall...actually, this whole meal is my downfall. I nearly always overeat...but I didn't do horribly bad tonight. I am determined to lose those few extra Holiday pounds :-)

Ducks and Chicks are snug in bed, I am in my jammies and the fur kids are looking at me from the couch, wondering when the movie and popcorn starts :-)
Tonight will be Harry Potter, The Half-Blood Prince...
