A Day in the Life / Saturday, March 20

Quiet Time....

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10

*****
Love early mornings with my Honey and my fur kids!

I can get a lot of morning chores done inside right now with the time change...
it doesn't get light until 7:20 or so...

The feathered kids are always VERY anxious to get out to play!

My three duck eggs...I think there's only been two or three days since we got the ducks that we didn't have three eggs...

Planted lettuce last week and look! it's coming up!!

I put out some sets too but look at all the babies!

It's Saturday, so you know where we are headed...

Our usual Saturday morning date...

This is the greeting we get EVERY time we leave and come back to the house...
even if it's only a few minutes!

We also went to Food City to get the fixing's for hamburgers tomorrow...and I bought stuff to make Mexican tonight...

I made cinnamon toast for Daddy when we got home and he had his usual audience...

Max was dead set on keeping Mom's chair...

We worked around the yard for a bit and then
I made lunch for the five of us...Ramen!

Lanny burned some brush he cleaned up behind the pool...

He also weeded the wide trail down to the creek from our back yard...I hope to plant some things down there this year and needed a way down...

I got out the hammock and immediately Maggie jumped in with me...she is the only one that likes it and I can never sit down without her...

...there was an old play set, swings and slide in the backyard when we moved here that were quite dangerous...we knew it couldn't be used so today he cut it up and hauled it out to the pole barn...there are some really nice redwood pieces and lots of hardware that he can salvage.

He also cleaned up a really wild area back there and I threw out some wildflower seeds...can't hurt to try :-)

The fruit trees coming up the drive way are budding out...a cherry, apple and pear...we hope to plant a few more and have a little orchard...

Lanny did some more mowing out on the hills...

Luke, the barn cat, was sunning himself in the parking lot....

I grilled the burgers for tomorrow...

Shelby brought Sadie up to spend the night and go to church tomorrow...

I made Hard and Soft Tacos, Burritos and Tostada's for supper...

...then Sadie and I went out to talk to the horses and Paula and Shelly...

Sadie and I are in our jammies waiting for Papaw to get out of the shower...she has chosen "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" as our movie for tonight ...it's one we always like to see...
We all overate but I am sure there will be some popcorn in our future...maybe even some ice cream.

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless America...

We love you!
