A Day in the Life / Friday, April 16

Quiet Time....

“O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25:1‬

*****
We had our usual compliment of fur babies...
Maggie and Murphy under the blankets...
Mitzi next to her Daddy (not her usual spot in the morning...
she is usually in our room on the futon)...

...and Max on the back of the couch...

But after a few minutes Max decided he wanted to study a bit...
or at least be in the way...

Dad didn't get up until late so I started my morning routine about 6:15...
made the bed and fixed the fur kids their breakfast...

...then, out to take care of the feathered kids...
this morning was quite cool...

But no matter the temperatures, %99 of the time I get my three duck eggs...

The view from the big barn bay doors...

Today is our anniversary...number 43...
I wouldn't trade a single day...
We wrote and sang songs to each other at our wedding...

*****
My Willie has had spots on his comb since we got him...sometimes they are nearly gone and sometimes they are bigger...just cannot figure out what they are. He doesn't seem to be pecked and it's never a fresh cut or sore...just scabs. He is otherwise healthy as he can be!!

Mom grabbed a piece of Banana Bread and sat down on the couch because Max was in her cushioned chair :-)
Ands had a captive audience!

Lanny took a little break from his bench construction...he is making a couple benches for seating around the pond...

And finishing the wainscoting....

Murphy was trying to get as close to the food as he could...

The pond is coming along quite nicely...

After lunch (a light one: Vienna sausages, salami, cheese, peanut butter and saltines) Lanny and I sat down for just a few minutes rest...
All four of our babies in a row...Maggie, Mitzi, Murphy and Max...

Paula was doing a little mowing...

I don't have a picture of dinner because Lanny and I went out to Aubreys for our anniversary. I warmed up some left over ChiliMac and Paula came over and made sure they had everything they needed....

I meant to take a picture of Lanny and I enjoying our meal: Lanny had Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Mashed Potatoes and I had the Asian Chicken Salad...YUM!!!

We ran in to Aldi's (it is right next door) and then to Kroger's for some this and that groceries, and then headed home.

I put the chicks and ducks to bed and now we are getting ready to watch the next in the Marvel Series: Thor!

It's been a very nice Anniversary Day...

Goodnight Y'all...
Pleasant Dreams...
God bless!
