Quiet Time....
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Sunday morning...
Daddy slept in...it's beginning to be the norm. He used to be up when I got up at 4, having never gone to bed. But now he drinks his cocoa and goes to bed by midnight and usually stays until 6 or so. I think it is better for him...he does sleep most of the day however. I think at 91 it is just the way it is. Especially since he cannot hear, cannot feel his hands or feet, can't walk without his walker...he is so bored. We bought him some ear phones so he can hear some things on his television but most talking, no matter how loud, he just cannot understand...his hearing loss is profound. He has trouble hearing anything going on around him even when he wears his hearing aids...
Mom can at least walk around the property, visit with Paula and Rob and Molly. She loves her westerns and game shows and can hear them well enough. She doesn't need as much help as Daddy does. And she sleeps well.
Day by day....with God's help...
So, our Bible Study/Devotion time was spent listening to the morning sounds of birds and snoring fur kids...
Maggie and Murphy were under the blankets beside me...
And Max was just being cute...
I got up from the comfy couch around 6 and made our bed, straightened up the room, did some prep in the kitchen for our Hamburger Lunch after church and fed the fur kids...Skipper usually eats a bit later than the rest...I think he likes to make a grand entrance. Anyway, Maggie stays close to be sure that she is first in line to lick his bowl when he is finished!
Church was almost like the good old days...Sunday School was better attended and Worship was as well...
And Steve delivered a wonderful message, as usual...
When we got home I heated the burgers that I had grilled yesterday...I make a pot of onion soup and warm them that way...they stay juicy and the onion flavor is nice...
Lanny and I rested a bit after lunch...he had to go back a bit early because there will be baptisms tonight. God is good!!
We roamed around the back yard a little and dreamed a little and then he headed down the hill...I potted a few plants we bought yesterday and rearranged the pond art (as I said, it will change many times before I have it the way I want it).
I took care of the puppy landmines and put the chicks and ducks to bed.
Rob and Molly are HOME!!! I went out to see what they've done today to their bedroom...
Robbie built their bed...Molly needs a firm foundation (no springs or mattress). They use a thinner yoga/tumbler mat. It looks beautiful!! And they said they slept SO well last night.
Lanny should be home around 7:30 and we will probably start the next Sherlock Holmes...we may not make it thru but who knows :-)
I'll pop some corn and we will snuggle with the fur babies...
Goodnight Y'all...
Sweet Dreams...
God bless America!
I pray for your mom and dad and I am so glad that you are blessed to have this special time with them!
