A Day in the Life / Saturday, July 31

Quiet Time...

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21

Lanny slept in so I just had Mags and Murph as Study Buddies this morning...
under the blankets...

Fed the dogs and Max and made beds before I went out. It's kinda nice as the sun comes up a little later...I am not so rushed to get out and take care of the chicks and ducks. It was about 6:30 when I went out...

Two duck eggs...

Grubs and Corn Time!

Lanny and I headed down to Hoskins at 8 for our Saturday Morning Date!

We went to Krogers for tomorrows lunch fixing's, and then dropped off a bean bag chair that Wendy had given us to Isaac at the Habitat for Humanities Restore - he and Sky work there.

Grilled up the burgers for tomorrows Sunday Lunch...
and fed Mom and Dad and Lanny some Chicken Noodle Soup...

We had planned to go to Maynardville to pick up some chickens tonight so I made some cornbread and left over Family Night soup for Mom and Dad...turns out we are going to go on Tuesday. I didn't want to be gone two hours this evening anyway.

Soooooo, we ended up having soup again, but this was homemade and very good.
No Problem

I ordered a really cute shirt as my new jammies. Because my mastectomy scars go way around and under my arms I cannot wear anything with seams to sleep in, so this was such a cute seamless tee that I just had to have it!

I got all the Grandkids names on it..as well as the Great Grand!
Too cute!!

Well, Lanny cleaned up the puppy piles in the back yard.
I'm going to give the chicks and ducks a little more time before I put them to bed. Maybe take a movie intermission.

Another Chosen episode tonight. It is a wonderful series!!!

Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams...

Tomorrow will be August 1st...How did that happen?!

A Day in the Life / Friday, July 30

Quiet Time...

“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:10‬

****

Daddy was up around 4:45 for his coffee and donut...

Fed the fur kids and made beds before I headed outside...it's getting light later every morning.

6:30 the sky was a red blaze...
"Red Sky at Morning
Sailor take Warning"

Rain was moving in so I went out before it was light enough but the feathered kids didn't mind...they have artificial light :-)

Two duck eggs...

Lanny and I headed to Walmart real early to pick up some freezer storage bags...
all this chicken and veggies depleted my stash.
But I love having food put away in the freezer!!

The Zephyr Lily is blooming well for it being so HOT!!!

We had grilled cheese for lunch and then Lanny and I rested for about an hour...

I took the chicks and ducks some grubs after our nap...

Easter egg hunt...found one in the brush out back and one in the duck house...
same hen, so the one in the brush was there overnight.

Made Fish Sticks, Normandy Veggies and Beets for Dinner...

I've been working on my Christmas Calendars off and on all day...I like to do a little at a time in the second half of the year so that I am not SWAMPED during the Holidays.
I make a personalized photo calendar for each person, so some years (depending on boyfriends and girlfriends) I have made well over 20 calendars.
Everyone seems to love them...

So chicks and ducks are in bed.
The yard is clean.
The water is clean.

We are clean ourselves and in our Jammies and ready to settle on the couch.
More of The Chosen, first season. I am surprised how much we missed when we watched it the first time. I think there must have been a lot of streaming glitches and interruptions. We are enjoying seeing it complete :-)

Goodnight Y'all
and God Bless!

Sweet Dreams

A Day in the Life / Thursday, July 29

Quiet Time...

“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:24

Dad came in about 5...
took his coffee and donut back to his room
and was back in the bed by 5:30 :-) habit...

Lanny slept in so I was alone for Study and Devotions...
even the pups stayed in the bed.
He came in about the time I was hitting the floor.
Maggie took my spot on the couch :-)

Fed the fur kids and went out at first light...it's getting later each day so today it was about 6:20...

Two duck eggs and one brown chicken egg later in the day...

Started a trash burn...
Fire is really quite beautiful!

Made some bread. I usually have to make 4 one pound loaves a week...
so I split it up and bake twice a week.

In the oven for first rise...

Sun up!

Visited the horses...

Max was in Daddy's bed and I needed to make it...I moved him to the chair and he made himself at home!

The bread rose nicely!

Ready to shape and rise again...

And I made more pickles...

Lanny came in for another shift of Chicken Processing...
we cleaned, cut and put up 6 giants today. I know a couple of them were 12 pounders!

Headed down to Food City for a couple things...
The neighbors horses were close to the fence... Gorgeous!

Made some Ramen for our lunch...

We rested for about 45 minutes before Lanny had to run out and help Danny get his truck in the shop...

Max is resting up for his night shift...

Paula made some layered Enchilada's last night and brought over the left overs for tonight.
DELICIOUS! I think we will have to call it PaulaLada's!

Kitchen is clean.
Chickens and Ducks are in Bed.
We are in our Jammies and ready to settle down for the night...
I bought The Chosen on disk so we are going to watch the first Season again...without the glitches of streaming :-)

Goodnight Y'all...
Sweet Dreams...
