Monday in the Mountains... November 29

Quiet Time...

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:13

*****

Dad was still in the bed when I got up, but got up immediately when he saw me go thru the hall...he was ready for coffee :-) He hadn't been asleep all night - he was up and down, but if he spends 4 hours in the bed, even split up, I consider it good. He needs to have his feet up. They are still so swollen.

Study Buddies... or should I say, Buddy Bundles :-)

I had a very early doctors appointment so I finished up the inside chores and had to let the chicks and ducks out while it was still dark...no pictures.

Lanny had to share his bowl of cereal with Max, of course...

Maggie waited patiently to lick the bowl :-)

Thaniel and Kate will be heading back home this morning...last morning to see their tiny house out here...
on my way to the doctors office...
sun is just now showing in the east...

Waiting for labs...
Look like a bank robber!

Doc said my heart is beating too fast so I am going to have to take something to slow it down. I hate medicine and this will be my first prescription in a LONG time... I'll go back in 30 days to see if it is helping.

Made Grilled Cheese and Fried Balogna for lunch...yum...

Then you can guess what we did :-)
Yep, nap time...

Just piddling around the house this afternoon. It is cold outside and I am kinda lazy in the winter months... just want to look at garden catalogs :-)

*****

For supper we had Panko Breaded Chicken Breast, Normandy Veggies and Macaroni and Cheese...also rolls...

Then Lanny hung my insulated/room darkening curtains in our bedroom doorway. The house has to stay pretty warm but we like a cold bedroom. SO... I close the vents in the bedroom, open the window, and put these curtains up to keep the cold in and the heat out...they also keep the cold out of the living room. We have a motion light on the chicken coop that comes on all thru the night when our little possum or raccoon friends walks by. That light would shine right in the door, reflect on the mirror and be right in our face...Problem solved. And Dad doesn't like closed doors these days so a curtain on our door is acceptable to him :-)

I had a single curtain on the inside til now, but it was not very pretty...
these look MUCH better... and they are even thicker... will keep out more heat.

So, curtains are hung, puppy piles are picked up, the kitchen is clean, the chicks and ducks are tucked in nice and snug, we are in our Jammies and ready to watch Star Trek: Search for Spock... :-)

Goodnight Dear Friends...
Thank you for your prayers...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
