Monday in the Mountains... April 11

Quiet Time...

“but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:7-8‬

*****
Dad was still in the bed so I gathered all his goodies
and sat down to start my Quiet Time...

Dad and Lanny both got up around 5
so I made Dad a Breakfast Burrito and sat back down with my Pack...

You know where Max and Mitzi were when I put my books away at 6...
Had to shew them out so I could make the bed...

Decanted the kefir (water and milk)
and fed the fur kids!

Mom usually gets up between 6:30 and 7
and when I took her coffee and meds in I noticed the sunrise out her window
so I ran thru the barn to take a picture facing the east....

Jesus is gonna one day come from that direction you know...
Even so, come quickly Lord!!!

Out to play with the Feathered Kids!

I am seriously going to work on names for the four unnamed babies this week...
it's time!

Ran out to the barn to give the horses some carrots...
they heard me coming!

Dandy loves carrots...

They argue like siblings!
Look at those ears!

Queen of the Hill... we are going to add some climbing features for them...
some tree trunks with several limbs (there are a lot of fallen trees on these 64 acres).
Chickens love to climb UP!! We just won't put anything close to the fence :-)

Burn day...

They all love when Lanny parks his truck here...
they get under and around and IN if he opens the door :-)

Look at this big Koi... she was only a little two inch kid
when we got her summer before last...
there are several small fish in here that we did not put in :-)
They are babies!!!

A Goldie egg...

For Breakfast I made Dad and Lanny
some Fried Eggs, Sausage, and Toast...

Popcorn and Sugar...

And Popcorn was VERY PROUD of it!!

The ducks LOVE their pond...
their Daddy is SO glad!
He is spending a LOT of time fixing it up for them...

These are just the cutest babies..
still trying to name three of them...

This is Opal... the lighting is wrong but she has hints of blue in her tail..

And this is Saphire... she has LOTS of blue...

This one is Coco... because of her color and she is "chic"!

Their feather markings are so pretty...
These three still nameless...
hopefully, not for long :-)

Fed my crew some delicious shredded beef sandwiches
-the short ribs were a bit tough when we had them last week
so I thawed the leftovers and shredded it... came out great!!!

We took a little cat nap after lunch... only about 30 minutes.
Had too many fun things to do outside,
AND Daddy's shower nurse was coming at 2
so I didn't want to be in the middle of something when she got here :-)

Lanny is designing and building...

Coconut in the box...

Coconut's pink egg...

The babies on the high roost...
only during the day.
The big kids use it at night...

Ole Granny Raven... I think she did lay an egg this week, but not today.
She just likes to reminisce ....

Willow's egg...

Three Blue Bird eggs in the Box...

Hosta...

Wisteria...

Honeysuckle...

Carolina Jasmine...

Heuchera...

Don't Cha Just Love Spring!?!

*****

Mom is still having pain with her back
but she is moving around a little better today.
Please continue to pray.

*****

For Supper I made Fish Sticks, Green Beans and New Potatoes, Macaroni and Tomatoes, Yams and Garlic Bread... Cake for Dessert...

After Dinner chores... DONE.
Chicken feed... LOCKED UP!
Jammies... CHECK.

Not sure what we will watch tonight. Saturday night was John Wayne, Hatari.
Perhaps Lanny has another John Wayne movie lined up.
We have a LOT of JW movies :-)

Goodnight Y'all!
God bless America...
God bless you ALL...
Sweet Dreams!
