Quiet Time...
“saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!””
Luke 19:38
*****
Dad was up...
Made him a Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit
to go with his coffee and meds :-)
Then settled in for Bible Study and Quality Pack Time...
At 6 I had to run Mitzi and Max out of the bed...
so what's new?
Then they went right in to spend some time with their Daddy...
He takes a little longer with his Quiet Time than I do...
I covered up the tender budding things last night with heavy beach towels:
Rose of Sharon, Wisteria, some of my bulbs...
It's COLD... hopefully one of the last!
Two good duck eggs today!
Making a cake for todays Sunday Lunch...
In my Sunflower Pan...
Made Dad some French Toast Sticks for breakfast...
Lanny had already left for church.
He ate yogurt and fruit before he left :-)
Mom ate her French Toast in her Suite :-)
She has hurt her back again...
I can't convince her to call me
when she needs something down low or up high...
The cake came out perfectly...
I just drizzled some caramel and fudge sauce over it.
Next time I might make up some lemon icing and make it a Sunflower!
Ooooo, and use chocolate chips for the sunflower seed in the middle....
Hmmmmmm.... :-)
Oh, and I have probably told you this before but it's good enough to repeat.
I don't boil my water to steep my iced tea. I just put my gallon sized tea bag in a half gallon jar and cold brew it on the counter. It doesn't take long at all. I do dissolve my sugar with just enough boiling water to get the job done and then top off the jar with cool filtered water. Leave the tea bag in when you put it in the refrigerator and remove it when you serve it. You can even brew it in the pitcher you plan to use to serve...
Honestly, everyone asks me about my tea. One friend says it's the only tea that doesn't give her a headache and lots of others just say I make the best tea... I think we boil out minerals as well as some natural taste in the water when we steep it the other way... Give it a try!
Headed out to check the nest boxes... forgot my camera.
So here they are...
Two Pearl Whites and a Willow...
Look at these chickies enjoying some sun!
This dust bath gets wet when it rains and then they cannot use it for a day or two. We just bought the little turtle sandbox that I will fill with their favorite bath soil and can cover it when the weather isn't right... that will give them two choices :-)
Look at these little darlings! I cannot wait to see their eggs...
a few more weeks!
Still sun and dust bathing...
Sunday Lunch when Lanny came home from church...
Barbecue, Beans, Salad...
Yum!
Mom's back is still giving her problems so she ate in her room...
Fed the dogs at 2...
Then we settled down for our Sunday afternoon Siesta...
After our rest we went out to sit in the sun!
Got some scratch to entice them with...
it worked :-)
This is in the pond...
perhaps frog spawn? :-)
Still only two Blue Bird eggs...
it was awfully cold last night... I hope Momma kept them warm!
A Goldie egg...
I put up the chicken feed and picked up the puppy piles.
I made some Chicken Noodle Soup for Mom and Dad
and I am eating some Cheetos...
I'm also watching Star Trek...
Lanny will be home around 7:30 and that will be about the time I will put the birds to bed... well, they go to bed on their own, I just close the door :-)
Keep Mom in your prayers. Her back is giving her fits....
Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
