Quiet Time...
“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Daddy turned on his light the instant I came into the living room...
he may not be able to hear but he has "second sight" :-)
I got him all situated with his coffee and meds
and a warm Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit...
Then I settled down for my Quiet Time with all the pups...
Lanny wasn't up yet and the pup arrangement was all wrong... :-)
But it was kinda nice...
He sat down and everyone just slid over a bit :-)
At 6 Max was in his usual spot and didn't appreciate me turning on the light...
See his paw shading his eyes...
May 1st... our Calendar Page for May...
as you recall, I make everyone calendars for Christmas...
only ours has my and Lanny's pictures on it (haha)...
Daybreak... the rain was holding back... thank you Lord.
He cares about even the small things like me being out without rain gear
to care for the flock :-)
Gabby and Penny on the ball...
The sprinkles were starting and there was thunder in the distance!
But at this point the chickies and ducks didn't mind...
they were enjoying the scratch grains!
so the coming rain wouldn't drench it...
that gave the babies a chance to eat more of it...
the big girls are often so mean to the babies...

So I was trying to get some things done and Mitzi was a mess...
she was shaking and panting and needed just a little reassurance
that the world was not coming to an end...
The storm was not long lived and she finally settled down...
One of the Pearl Whites and Willow on the job...
Had Chili, Cornbread, Fritos, Salad and Brownies for Dessert...
Cleaned up the kitchen and then fed the fur kids...
just in time because it started pouring the rain and Mitzi would never have eaten if it was raining...
So, it was perfect weather for a Sunday nap :-)
Max even showed up to join in...
Lanny has headed back down the hill for church.
Today he does choir practice at 4:30. He and another young man
switch off each week for choir practice and today is Lanny's day.
He will be home around 7:30.
Probably won't watch a movie tonight... too close to bedtime :-)
I will feed Mom and Dad some Chicken Noodle Soup around 5
and then settle in for a couple Star Trek episodes til he gets home.
Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
