Forgot to share this yesterday... Paula's friend Shelly, the owner of Takoda the horse, is also a first time grandmother! This is Wyatt and he was thrilled to ride in Daddy's scooter with him. Didn't want to get out!!!

Dad was up and waiting for me :-)
Took care of him and then settled down with Maggie and Murphy...
Lanny didn't get up til after 5...
At 6 Mitzi was on "her futon" but Max was in the bed...
Out you go, lazy bones!!

Daybreak, 6:30 ish....

Since it was sprinkling rain Lanny decided to do a little project we've been milling around. He put the old sink that we replaced in our bath in my garden shop... he will run water to it and it will be VERY useful out here!
He did some mowing and the hens had to check out his mower. Chickens are VERY curious!

For lunch I used the left over hotdogs and made open faced chili dogs under the broiler.
Mom actually at a half of one in her suite...
Then, of course, you know what's next.
I never would have thought I'd love short naps like I do...
Went out to enjoy the sunshine after our nap...
The chickens and ducks LOVE to congregate under the deck...
Lanny had to run down to get Sadie at school... she had Chorale practice today so he will pick her up at 2...
Max and Murphy LOVE to wrestle!
They are SO cute but of course they stopped when I started filming!!
Aren't they pretty, and getting big...
you can't tell but we sure can!

Mom ate in her Suite...
There are several sizes of Tadpoles.... the frogs are busy.
However, ducks are supposed to LOVE frog eggs and tadpoles.
We watched them gobbling the floating gelatinous globs
(which I am assuming were new eggs) and having a big time...
But it would be better that they get some yummy treats
and we don't have a yard full of one legged frogs
(it has to do with a lawnmower
and it is a long story from a previous experience :-) )
Lanny has to go to work... Wednesday night services.
He picked up the puppy piles, I put the chicken feed away.
Sadie is on her way home and I will get my night clothes on...
of course I will watch a few StarTrek episodes
until he gets home around 8:30...
