Quiet Time...
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear,
slow to speak, slow to anger;”

Dad was up...
I follow a "Read the Bible in a Year" schedule so that I can read thru the entire Bible every year. It takes only 15-20 minutes a day and is a great habit. You can do canon (as the books are placed in the Bible) or Chronologically... I like Canon but have done both thru the years. Anyway, if you are interested in doing that the Bible Project is just about the best system. You can go to BibleProject.com and find all kinds of studies, devotionals, video's. And there is an app that can go on your phone or iPadTablet that keeps track of it. I do it thru another great app, the Bible.com app which also has tons of devotionals and studies.
Then I do some devotional reading by Charles Stanley, Chuck Swindoll, Adrian Rogers, Max Lucado, Spurgeon, Alistair Begg, Billy Graham... different authors. I put these devotionals in one place so that you don't have to hunt around and can just go to one spot to read. It's my "Debbie's Corner Blog" that I do in the mornings. That's why I need around 90 minutes plus in the mornings. I spend about an hour in my study and readings and then 30 minutes or so putting them onto the blog.
If you want to check that out just go to

Lanny also does a blog:

Chicken and Duck Time...
Well, it's been well over two weeks since Gabby laid an egg...
I am only getting one to three eggs a day period...
must be Fall Break!
Eggs, Bacon and Toast...
Mom loves my Grape Jelly and she especially LOVES bacon!
Who doesn't?
And the dogs are hoping she has shaky hands and drops some!
Sparkley and berries for the birds!
The only hen laying pretty regular is Sugar...
Goldie actually left an egg under the deck...
not sure if it was yesterday or today but she did NOT lay one in this nest box!
I made Chicken Sandwiches for lunch...
Mom is sleeping so much and laying in the bed most of the time now,
but she is eating pretty good. I make her get up and sit in her chair to eat...
continue to pray for her. She seems to get more confused and shaky toward the evening which is worrisome for me... I keep getting up thru the night to check on her...
We rested a bit after lunch...
I keep the monitor beside me so I can keep an eye on Mom and Dad as I am resting. I don't go sound to sleep and just doze, so my one little eye keeps peeking at them throughout rest time :-)
Lanny went back out to continue mowing the driveway and then out to the little pond... the mowing season is winding down... He loves mowing but is always ready to call it done and enjoy the cooler weather chores...
For supper I opened a home canned jar of Beef Stroganoff, thickened the gravy and served over Wide Egg Noodles... It was a winner. I will definitely can more.
So easy and quick. My version of FAST FOOD :-)
Oh we also had Biscuits and Brownies for Dessert!
When Paula doesn't eat with us (usually because she is in the middle of something) I always make her a Doggy Box, so she gets to have yummy Stroganoff too!
We did all the evening chores and I am in my jammies finishing up this post...
Lanny is in the shower...
Tonight we will watch Mission Impossible 3...
Goodnight Y'all...
God bless and Sweet Dreams!
