I just realized that I promised you photos
of our Anniversary dinner with Janie and Johnny
on Wednesday...
We headed down the hill around 4:30...
And met at Calhouns...
we ate outside and it was SO nice!
I had the Southern Fried Chicken Salad...
my first time...
I usually get the Oriental Chicken Salad
but Paula always gets this one...
It was VERY good!!!
I took half the chicken strips home...
it was SO big!!!
We had a great time...
First time we had been out with these two since before COVID...
Good friends, good food and good fun!!

The latest I have laid in the bed in a LONG time...
The movie we watched last night didn't end til about 9
so we got to bed LATE!!!

Maggie gets hot under the red cover and has to jump down on the floor about halfway thru our Bible Study Hour :-)
I cannot wait to start planting these in the garden.
I usually rush it and regret it,
so this year I am waiting til after May 1!
These will need harvesting probably tomorrow...
Flock, Fluffle and Fins Time...
She is sitting and did pull all the eggs under her...
except one... it must have fallen out and the other hens were eating on it this morning.
I didn't get a chance to count how many she has
because she has not come out today...
Three duck eggs....
Routine.... I hope :-)
and there was one under the goat ledge
later this morning...
Pretty morning...
Hungry!
Gave the bunnies some alfalfa,
fresh pellets, water and treats :-)
... and the wild bunnies were playing
all over the place behind our yard...
outside the electric fence...
but they can get in...
so today I am going to put some chicken wire
around the garden to give it some added protection...
Washing the Toro!
We had our Medicare Wellness lab work this morning
so we headed down to Summit Medical around 9:15...
It is such a beautiful drive from our house into town...
We pass the Ponderosa Zoo pastures
with the Shetlands...
And then the Camels...
And then the Bulls....
I just love that big old Oreo!
We had our lab work done,
headed to Tractor Supply for some Dog Food...
then to the CoOp for Goat stuff...
YES!! We are going to get our goats Sunday afternoon...
Then we headed home!
Checked on the mail...
Fed the Men some Grilled Cheese for lunch...
Backwashed the Koi Pond and added some water...
Put some new sand in the sandboxes for the Chickies...
Max was keeping watch...
I wonder how he is going to like the Goats...
This should really be called "Hen"ingham Palace
because the chickens think it is their Dust Bath House...
Now he is keeping watch in the shade...
A Lady Turkey out behind our house.
We have LOTS of turkey out here...
Lanny mowing again...
Like I said, our backyard grows like weeds :-)
because, up here, we have MOSTLY weeds!!
For Supper we had Home Canned Beef Stroganoff
over Freeze Dried Rice with Peas and Carrots....
and Herb Bread with Melted Cheese...
YUM!!
So, the day is done for me...
it's been a busy one,
as they all have been lately.
But summer is approaching
and that is definitely a busy time of year.
Not sure what Lanny has planned for the Big Screen tonight...
