Quiet Time...
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith,
knowing that the same afflictions
are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."
1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV
*****
Good morning Sunshine...
well, not quite yet!! :-)
The first group...
Then Casey and Murphy joined us...
And then my Honey!
Greens and Veggies
Growing like crazy...
I am having to put the weighted
and the Black Out
on the table...
I am running out of room!
Flock and Fluffle and Fin Time
comes earlier every day...
We got 1/2 inch of rain last night...
Their favorite laying spot...
Only two here so far this morning...
The third duck eggs was on the other side under a nest box...
and later in the morning one under the Goat Ledge.
It was Elsa that laid it there...
Cutting down the Elderberry
and taking as many of the babies
as we can salvage to another location...
Elderberry is not good for goats...
Sparkley Day...
The ducks love hunting
behind this old fence frame that is leaned up against
the back yard fence...
Then they have to wash their dirty bills...
sometimes the mud is an inch thick on their bills!
Some chicks hanging out in the Goat House.
We shall see if the Goats allow it tomorrow :-)
There is a hen in every box today...
I have two fake eggs in each box so they feel like they are contributing... Hens believe in adoption :-)
They are fine letting another hen brood and raise their chicks :-)
So they try to lay a pile in a nest box...
Now ALL the nest boxes can have piles!
And Pepper is sitting on 8 fertilized eggs...
one was broken...
We are working on the little fort for the Goats...
the last of the old pool deck...
Pepper came out for some food and water
and some scratch and peck time...
she also had to clean the broken egg and shell
off of her so she was out a few minutes.
I wish I had been able to get a video of her cooing and moving the eggs around when she went back in...
I will try tomorrow...
These are actually BlueBird eggs...
Yea, I know... their eggs are usually blue.
But this happened last year too.
I kept watch and they were indeed Blue Birds.
Then when I read up on it
I learned that some do indeed lay white eggs.
The parents are very active in and out of the box
so I KNOW they are Blue Birds this year too!
The Goat Fort is coming along...
these goats are sure to have enough to entertain them...
Hopefully it will keep them out of too much trouble!
Max had something important to say
and his Daddy wasn't listening...
The chickens LOVE the MULE...
they always want in it!
When Lanny was trying to leave I had to call the chicks with food so they wouldn't follow him out the gate! They LOVE the mule...
I think it's because for a long time he was hauling horse manure FULL of worms and they won't ever forget it! :-)
One of my American Honeysuckle...
it is SO pretty and not invasive at all!
4:00... heading down the hill
to the Mexican Restaurant in Clinton...
This requires DEEP concentration...
It was SO good...
and SO much food...
YUM!!!
Daddy loves to go out but it is quite an undertaking.
It is a struggle to get him into and out of his wheelchair,
especially from a car seat!
... once he is in it he does pretty good :-)
But he is always worn out when we get home.
It is good to get him out tho...
And we will do it as long as we can...
We are all so full...
I don't think we will need popcorn tonight!!
Maybe an ice cream cone, tho :-)
Last night we watched Untouchables
with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery...
not sure what is on the big screen for tonight...
Goodnight Family and Friends...
God bless you one and all...
Sweet Dreams!
